Why line boring

LOOSE PINS
WEAR OUT
EVERYTHING ELSE.

Over time, pin holes and pivot points wear oversized or out of round. Left alone, the slop spreads to new pins, bushings and the surrounding steel.

Line boring machines the worn bore back to the right size and alignment so the connection fits properly again. Common signs it’s time:

  • Play or clunking at a pivot point
  • Pins and bushings wearing out faster than they should
  • Uneven or sloppy bucket and boom movement
  • Visibly oval or damaged pin holes
What we work on

BUILT FOR HEAVY EQUIPMENT.

Excavators

Boom, stick and arm pivot points and pin connections.

Buckets & linkages

Worn bores in bucket ears and linkage connections.

Other equipment

Loaders, utility vehicles and other pivot points. Send photos and we’ll review it.

Flange refacing

On-site machining of flange sealing surfaces to address wear or damage.

Also on site

FLANGE
REFACING.

A worn or damaged flange face can keep a joint from sealing. We machine the sealing surface on site so you don’t have to pull the part and ship it out.

Send us the flange size, condition, location and the finish you need, and we’ll review the job.
